“What I love to see is journalists and publicity professionals who are very conscientious about how they pitch stories, how they tell stories, and how they cover issues because that can have a tremendously positive impact—and then we’ve all seen examples of quite the opposite, right?” Janet says. “So, I think we know that, with PR, there’s just a huge opportunity to influence social change but there’s also the risk of causing serious harm—serious community harm—and that’s something we should always be acutely mindful of.”
